Smile for me, please

What’s a perfect smile?

Is it the smile of a sister, just a year or two older, as she takes care of her baby brother?

Is it the half-smile of a boy peeking out from behind his friend’s back?

Or is it the sweet glow from the face of a boy no matter how unwashed?

Is it that of siblings venturing on their own?

Is a perfect smile that which is flashed while at work in the field?

Is it when children are out at play?

Or is it but the satisfied look in the face of a child as she eats?

No answer I can give, for each smile of a child glows forth from the heart,

That it becomes a joy to behold and an even greater joy to capture.
